🆘HOW-TO: SHARE YOUR APPLE HOME WITH OTHERS

Applies to iOS users  / users with Apple Smart Home Ecosystem 

If you want to let someone else control your Home accessories, here’s how to send them an invite:

Step 1 •  Open the Home App on Your Mac.

Step 2 • Click Edit > Edit Home.

Step 3 •  On the Home settings screen, select Invite People, then enter the Apple ID email address of the person you want to share control with.

Step 4 • Send the Invitation by clicking Send Invite.

📩 What Happens Next?
The invitation will appear in the People section of the Home settings screen and will be sent to the invited user. Once they accept, they’ll have access to control your Home accessories.

⚠️ Important Note: To share control, your Home setup must use the new Home architecture, which is faster and more reliable. For details on upgrading, visit Apple’s guide: Upgrade to the new Home architecture.
