How-To | Pairing > Replacement Controllers

🆘 SMOOTHLY TRANSITIONING TO YOUR REPLACEMENT CONTROLLER/PROCESSOR: CANVAS, SHAPES, ELEMENTS, & LINES

Please follow these steps precisely to ensure you're on the illuminating path to enjoy your Nanoleafs once again!

Step 1 • Remove Old Controller Square/Controller from the NL App and Any Integrations

• Open the Nanoleaf App.
• On the Nanoleaf App, navigate to ..More > My Devices > Select the 3 dots next to the old controller square/controller being replaced > Select Delete

Then, physically remove the old controller square from your display. Once deleted, you can proceed to Step #2 and connect your new controller square to the Nanoleaf App.

Step 2 • Prepare for New Controller Square/Controller Setup

• Ensure your mobile phone is connected to a 2.4GHz network.
• Have the paper with pairing information that the replacement controller came with handy.

Step 3 • Connect the New Controller Square/Controller

• Plug your new controller square/controller into the display.
• Once you connect the controller square , you will see the LEDs on the controller scroll.
• Once the LEDs stop scrolling across the controller square/controller, and a scene plays on the panels, you are ready to pair.

⚠️ If the LED on the Power button is not solid when on, reset the device by holding the Power and '+' button until the 
LEDs start scrolling again,

To pair: Open the Nanoleaf App, navigate to ...More > My Devices > Select the + symbol, and follow the app's instructions to pair your new controller square/controller.

Step 1 • Remove Old Processor from the NL App and Any Integrations

• Open the Nanoleaf App.
• On the Nanoleaf App, navigate to ..More > My Devices > Select the 3 dots next to the old processor being replaced > Select Delete.

Then, physically remove the old processor from your display and PSU. Once deleted, you can proceed to Step #2 and connect your new processor to the Nanoleaf App.

Step 2 • Prepare for New Processor Setup

• Ensure your mobile phone is connected to a 2.4GHz network.
• Have the paper with pairing information that the replacement processor came with handy.

Step 3 • Connect the New Processor

• Plug your new processor into the display.
• Once you connect the processor, you will see the LEDs on the processor scroll.
• Once the LEDs stop scrolling across the processor, and a scene plays on the line bars, you are ready to pair.

⚠️ If the LED on the Power button is not solid when on, reset the device by using a pin and pushing the pin reset on 
the processor near your PSU.

To pair: Open the Nanoleaf App, navigate to ...More > My Devices > Select the + symbol, and follow the app's instructions to pair your new processor.
