🔔CAN LIGHT THERAPY BE USED AFTER SKIN TREATMENTS?
In clinical settings, red light therapy is sometimes used after procedures to support healing. These treatments are carefully controlled and timed by professionals. For at-home use, extra caution is required.
IMPORTANT AT-HOME GUIDANCE
If you have recently had:
• A chemical peel
• Microneedling
• Resurfacing or exfoliating treatments
You should wait until the skin has healed before using a light therapy device. Using light therapy too soon on compromised skin can increase redness, irritation, or discomfort.
When it may be safe to resume
Only resume use when:
✅ Skin is fully healed
✅ There is no active redness, stinging, or peeling
✅ No open or sensitized areas remain
When restarting:
✅Use clean, dry skin only
✅Start at the lowest intensity and shortest duration
✅Increase gradually over multiple sessions if skin tolerates it well
Hygiene matters! After procedures such as microneedling:
• Ensure the device is clean before use
• Follow recommended cleaning instructions to reduce the risk of irritation or contamination
