At Nanoleaf, we are committed to keeping your smart lighting experience secure and reliable. We provide security and performance updates for a minimum of five (5) years from a product’s initial commercial availability date unless otherwise noted.
You can use the table below to view the launch dates and guaranteed update periods for all of our products. If a listed date has passed but the product or product series is still actively marketed (i.e. sold), updates will continue until the product is officially retired ("discontinued").

Model numbers start with an 'NL' and some variations within the same product line may start with NF0. Collaborations often start with SQ.
Serial numbers of devices may start with a S1 or 2 or P1 or 2, sometimes with a N1 or 2, E1 or 2, or U1 or 2, and/or V1 or V2. The Letter is followed by 2 sets of numerical characters, 1 alpha character, and a sequence of 4 numerical characters for smart devices Located at the back of the controller or base of bulb. For products with no serial number, a date code will be available in a 4 digit format, i.e. 2525.

While updates for retired products may continue beyond these dates, they might become less frequent. *All variations of this product or product series are included.
**Items considered “not smart” do not receive regular software updates or may receive limited updates. This includes products such as the Pegboard Desk Dock and PC Screen Mirror. Any products not listed are also considered “not smart.” Wellness products (Mask, Wand, and Panel) do not require software support, as they are fully non-smart devices.
