• Ensure your Nanoleaf App is up to date.
• Ensure your Samsung SmartThings device is up to date.
• For Matter-enabled devices, a compatible Thread Border Router (TBR) or Matter Controller is required (not supplied by Nanoleaf).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR NON-MATTER (OR THREAD ONLY) ENABLED DEVICES
Setting Up (iOS or Android):
Step 1 • Set up your Nanoleaf device in the Nanoleaf App first.
Step 2 • Navigate to the Settings section in the Nanoleaf App and select Login.
Step 3 • Create an account or sign in (please note that this account is separate from our Web store account and HelpDesk account, so those logins will not work).
Step 4 • Ensure that the scene/cloud sync button in the Nanoleaf app is enabled in the Nanoleaf app.
Step 5 • Follow the instructions linked here from Samsung SmartThings

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MATTER ENABLED DEVICES (THREAD OR WIFI)
💡Ensure that your Matter device is installed within 30 feet (9 meters) of a compatible Matter controller for
optimal performance. If you're connecting Thread-based Matter devices, double-check that the Thread network is
enabled on your TBR and IPv6 is activated in your router's settings. This setup ensures a smooth
connection and proper functionality of your Matter devices.
Setting Up (iOS 🍏or Android 🤖)
Step 1 • Open the Samsung SmartThings app.
Step 2 • Select Add Device.
Step 3 • Select the Add under Partner Devices
Step 4 • Select Nanoleaf
Step 5 • Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your device to SmartThings
