NANOLEAF SMART IVY
The Nanoleaf Ivy was our first connected smart lighting product—and one of the very first bulbs to integrate with voice assistants. Its setup featured a hub (the distinctive dodecahedron-shaped device) that connected to your phone and communicated with the Ivy bulbs. In addition to smart connectivity, the Ivy also included the dimming functionality of the Nanoleaf Bloom, allowing users to dim the lights using standard on/off switches.

BULBS & REGULAR LIGHT SWITCH
Why isn't my light turning on using the normal light switch?
Our bulbs are designed to remember their last settings even after power is turned off. If you turn off the bulb using the app or Siri, it will stay unlit even if you turn it off and on again manually.
To manually turn the light back on, make sure power is on and quickly turn it off and on again using your switch. This will cause the bulb to turn on and dim up to full brightness. We call this “Bloom” functionality.
If you are unsure which switch state is "on" (like a table lamp for example), try the following steps 2 or 3 times:
Toggle the switch twice, quickly (this will either be "off-on" or "on-off" depending on the initial state).
If the bulb doesn't dim up, toggle the switch once and try again.

SYNCING BETWEEN iOS DEVICES
How do I sync between iOS devices on the same iCloud account?
Note: You must have your HomeKit accessory paired to a master iOS device before syncing between iOS devices on the
same iCloud account.
- To enable iCloud syncing of your HomeKit data, you will need to enable iCloud keychain on your iOS devices using your iCloud account if you haven't already done so.
HOW-TO:
- Go to Settings > iCloud > Keychain and enable "iCloud Keychain" and then follow the onscreen instructions. Note: Enable iCloud keychain on the master iOS device before enabling it on other iOS devices.
- Sign in using your iCloud account on the other iOS device and enable iCloud keychain. iCloud syncing of HomeKit data can take 2-24 hours. If you can see your HomeKit accessory from your secondary iOS device(s) then the iCloud sync has been completed.
Troubleshooting:
- Make sure your iOS devices are using iOS 9 or higher.
- In some scenarios, iCloud syncing has better results if your Apple ID ends in @icloud.com. If you are using a third party email address, you might be prompted to set up an alternate Apple ID ending with @icloud.com.
- If your Apple ID is without an email address, add an email alias at http://appleid.apple.com
- If the iCloud sync does not complete after 3-4 hours then try restarting your iOS device and sign in your apple ID again. Disclaimer: iCloud syncing is developed/managed by Apple and is largely out of Nanoleaf's control. For further troubleshooting you may contact Apple Support.
