I'm currently setting up my Nanoleaf panels and lightstrips to integrate with my smart home security system (Home Assistant / Alexa). My goal is to create an emergency scene where all exterior and entryway lights flash bright red and white if a door contact sensor or security camera detects an intruder at night.

A few questions for the community:

1. Has anyone configured HomeKit automation to trigger specific scenes during a security alarm trigger without noticeable delay?
2. Do you recommend keeping entryways illuminated at 100% white light to help security cameras capture clearer footage for law enforcement?

From a safety standpoint, having clear visual deterrence and rapid emergency protocols makes a huge difference if an incident occurs.
