🆘 STANDARD ANDROID PAIRING INSTRUCTIONS
Applies to Android Users & All Products Unless Otherwise Noted [See Note Re: 4D*]
Before You Get Started
Device Requirements: Android 9+, turn ON Bluetooth, and at least, Google Play Services app version 22.48.14. Ensure your location settings are enabled on your device.
Network: 2.4 GHz Wifi is required. 5 GHz networks are not compatible with Nanoleaf products. You must be on 2.4GHz on both your network AND mobile device.
Pairing Code: A QR code and/or 8-digit code on your Quick Start Guide or on the back of the Controller.
💡TIP | To pair before mounting, lay out the design for your Nanoleafs on the floor or table and ensure that each
panel/bar etc is connected with a linker.

Step 1
Download and Open the Nanoleaf App
You can find the official Nanoleaf App in the Google Play Store. Make sure you have the latest version.
Step 2
Pair Your Device
• On the Dashboard, tap the pencil icon in the top right corner.
• Tap Add Device +
• The app will automatically open up the pairing window.
• Follow the instructions on the screen to either:
Option A
Scan the QR code
Option B
Enter in the 8-digit pairing code found on your Blocks Power Supply Unit, Controller, or Quick Start Guide/Welcome Card
Option C (Not for Blocks or Expo Display Case)
Use NFC Tap, by holding the top of your mobile device over the buttons of your Controller
Once pairing is complete, most Nanoleaf panels should flash green or illuminate in some way and then, they're ready to go on the Nanoleaf App!
Optional: Pair with a Smart Home Ecosystem.
*4D requires additional set up and calibration within the App, however, the pairing steps are standardized. 🔗Resource: How-To | Installation Tips > 4D
