Error Code: HM-48 = Operation Not Supported
This error code occurs when a device becomes unreachable and Homekit communicates this error code to alert the user that the operation is not supported.
HomeKit is a protocol specifically used by Apple Operating Systems on their iOS devices. [This error can also occur for those using Home Assistant outside of iOS].

🔧How-To
Step 1 - Delete the Device
Device from your Nanoleaf app.: Go to "...More" > select "My Devices" > Locate the device you want to delete > Click the 3 Dots on the right.
⚠️ If the device is not in the My Devices page, it could be that you moved it to a different Home altogether in the Nanoleaf App. In this case, go to "...More" > select "Homes" > and check all of the Homes "My devices" pages to see if you can locate the device.
🚩 If you have a smart home ecosystem such as Apple Home or Google Home connected to the device, make sure to also check if the device is paired in one of those systems, so that you could delete the accessory there.
Step 2 - Pair Again
Start the pairing procedure again, as if the device was just installed.
⚠️In cases, where this does not pair again, please follow step 1 and then reset the device before proceeding to step 2.
