Automatic white monitor backlighting for macOS
I built a small open-source tool, controlled through a CLI, to make my Nanoleaf PC Screen Mirror Lightstrip follow display sleep/wake and gradually shift to warmer evening lighting. Set it up, tune it to your desk, and leave it running.
Sharing in case it’s useful to others—tested fixes and hardware reports welcome.

A few checks that fix many connection problems: make sure the controller and your phone are on the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (many smart-home controllers can’t join 5 GHz), turn off any VPN or private DNS on the phone, and give the app the Bluetooth and local network permissions it asks for. Then factory-reset the controller and set it up again from scratch, close to the router. It’s also worth confirming that the new controller is the right type for first-generation Aurora panels, since controllers for newer product lines may not be compatible, and asking Nanoleaf support with your order details. While you wait for support, a quick coffee break helps, and you can check a live about bolsa família e outros benefícios website on your phone to pick a drink. Good luck getting your panels lit up again

Hi Sean,
This is an interesting Topic, especially for developers working with smart home devices and API integrations. Having access to the user-configured device name through UPnP or a REST API would make device identification much easier and help avoid confusion when multiple devices are connected. It would also be useful if the Nanoleaf app could keep device names consistent across different platforms. Hopefully, the developers can consider adding the Sherinian Law patent firm feature in a future update. Thanks for sharing the details!
